Spectacular Halloween Pumpkins at Roger Williams Zoo

by Toni Leland

Anyone who loves Halloween and the craft of carving pumpkins will be amazed at the jaw-dropping display at the Roger Williams Zoo in Cranston, Rhode Island.

The website says that over 100,000 people visit this extravaganza and I believe it – I think they were all there the night I attended! But it was so worth it.

Spooky floating faces in the dark

Imagine 5,000 jack-o-lanterns glowing brightly, their sometimes terrifying faces seeming to float in the darkness. Along the trail, the skill and artistic talents of dozens of pumpkin carvers is breathtaking, each design more beautiful than the last.

If you can, get there soon – the event ends on Sunday, November 2 (2014). Prepare to be thrilled!

Here are some of my favorites.
