Sharing a fellow gardener's talent

At this busy time of the year, here in the Northeast, gardening is the farthest thing from my mind. But I came across this charming play on an old favorite, and thought I'd share. It's a great reminder that spring is just around the corner!

A Gardener's Night Before Christmas
by Dr. Leonard Perry, Extension Professor at the University of Vermont

T’was the night before Christmas and under the snow,
Perennials now dormant were waiting to grow.

The roses were mulched, the soil piled high,
To protect the graft union so the plants wouldn’t die.

Enjoy! And warmest wishes for the season.
